I. Malik Saafir

I. Malik Saafir trains advocates and activists how to interpret, translate and apply theories of justice through environmental and social justice projects. Malik holds a Master of Divinity (M. Div.) from Vanderbilt University where he was a Kelly Miller Smith Scholar and graduated with Honors.

Malik has devoted his career to the study of the intersection between religion, ethics, and culture seeking to end racial, economic and health disparities in low-income communities. He currently serves on the GreenFaith Board of Directors. He also serves on the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law Racial Disparities in the Arkansas Criminal Justice System Research Project Steering Committee.

Malik is a GreenFaith Fellow and Toyota TogetherGreen Fellow.
